Welcome!My name is Ammarah, and I am a Johannesburg based makeup artist and hairstylist. I studied at Kohl Makeup Academy where I received an internationally accredited certificate.As an everyday artist, I personally believe that less is more and aim to prove that there is beauty in simplicity. And for that reason I specialise in soft, natural makeup.However, having said that, I'm also passionate about art and creating things. I look for opportunities to unleash my imagination and transform someone into something more ethereal and magical.I've had the honour of assisting on Thebe Magugu's Heritage Collection photoshoot, behind the scenes on the filming of Miss South Africa 2023, Steve Madden X Gert Johan-Coetzee fashion show, and the SAICA C.A competition.I love stories, so working on set with people whose work tells a tale is my dream."Art is a way of recognizing oneself."
